Overview

Located in the Inland Empire region of Southern California, the San Bernardino laboratory provides livestock, equine and avian necropsy, histopathology, immunohistochemistry, bacteriology, parasitology, serology and mammalian virus detection testing on site. Milk quality/chemistry and dairy food safety testing on dairy products is available utilizing current approved methods for testing for important dairy pathogens.

CAHFS San Bernardino offers:

• American College of Veterinary Pathologists board certified diagnosticians
• Expertise in poultry/avian, horse, cattle, pig, llama, alpaca, sheep, goat, aquatic species, exotics and wildlife diseases
• Foreign animal disease trained diagnosticians on site
• Pet (dog, cat, etc.) species necropsy and histopathology available on a case-by-case basis. Dog and cat necropsies submitted by owners are not accepted. No cases will be accepted to settle a dispute between a veterinarian and their client.
• Comprehensive reports which include gross examination, histopathology and testing in other disciplines as needed
• National Poultry Improvement Plan approved site for Salmonella and Mycoplasma culture and serology and Avian Influenza serology
